You don't need to enter sudo. In fact, you shouldn't.

Hey brother there, I got "Bus error" while processing this on my Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid lynx LTS...!!

Check the procedure I had done here:

vishal@vishal:~$ cd /home/vishal/Downloads vishal@vishal:~/Downloads$ ls AdobeAIRInstaller.bin GDM-BlueSwirl.tar.bz2 install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz tmp ubuntuone-client-1.2.1.tar.gz ubuntuone-installation-details virtualbox-3.2_3.2.0-61806~Ubuntu~lucid_i386.deb vishal@vishal:~/Downloads$ chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin vishal@vishal:~/Downloads$ sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin [sudo] password for vishal: Bus error

What will be solution for this? Tell me if there is any other package in debian or canonical distro there... So that I'll easily install and configure it with aptitude!

This works, but one problem I did have (Kubuntu 9.04 install) was that KDE would not start after a reboot. Problem seemed to be that I didn't have permission to write to .ICE???? (forget the rest of the name, but is started with ".ICE"). Had to drop into a command line session and chown the file to my self followed by chmod 660.

Then I was able to boot into KDE. Wondering if there isn't something more I should know?

It sounds like a permissions problem. Did you save the installer to your $HOME direcotry? Go to the folder where you saved the installer in the terminal, and type 'ls -l' this will show all of the permissions for the files/folders. Make sure that the installer file is owned by your user (Look for something like 'john users'. If it says something like 'root root', then it is owned by the root.) If it is owned by root you will need to chown it to your user.

If you do not know how to chown a file, then it may be simpler to run steps 5 and 6 as root (Do Not Get Used To This). Try typing 'su' and then entering your root password. Once you are root, run steps 5 and 6. If this is successful, be sure to type 'exit' to get out of superuser mode, and then go read about chown.
